Jordan, a right-handed pitcher out of Nashville, TN played collegiately for Belmont University from 2002 to 2005. In his collegiate career, Jordan posted an overall 14-11 record, pitching 199.1 total innings with 109 strikeouts and 37 walks.  From 2005 to 2007, Jordan played within the Seattle Mariners farm system, advancing as high as their advanced-A team where he started in 14 games posting a 5-7 record. In 2008 Jordan pitched for the Independent League Evansville Otters in 2008, where he was 5-5 before being traded to the Schaumburg Flyers. He posted a 2-3 record with 30 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched for the Flyers.
