Mike Meyer spent eight seasons with the Sioux Falls Canaries. Meyer's staff had an outstanding championship season in 2008 with an ERA of 3.99. In 2010, Sioux Falls pitchers swept all three major postseason awards with a 4.40 team ERA. A former draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2000, Meyer spent seven seasons pitching professionally after playing collegiate ball at the University of Arizona. He spent nearly four years playing in the Cardinals organization before joining independent baseball. The right-handed hurler had successful stints with the Allentown Ambassadors, Baton Rouge River Bats and the St. Paul Saints independent baseball clubs. Meyer pitched as a relief pitcher in 2014 with the Sioux Falls Canaries. Mike and his wife Kara reside in Tucson, Ariz., with their two children, Saylor Jane and Benjamin. He enjoys golfing and gardening in his spare time.
