Crane started all 56 games for the Cowboys in 2015 where he hit .275 (64-233) and drove in a team leading 39 RBIs. He scored 24 runs while hitting a team high 14 doubles and eight homeruns. He led the Cowboys with 104 total bases and a .446 slugging percentage. Crane posted a .337 on base percentage and was 12-14 in stolen base attempts. He posted a .996 fielding percentage by committing only two errors and recording 527 putouts and 23 assists. Crane helped turn 33 double plays during the 2015 season. He was named to the All-SLC Conference Second Team in 2015.

Before McNeese State: Crane was a junior college All-American who competed for Lamar CC during the last two seasons. He led his team to a 40-18 overall record and a conference championship as a sophomore along with a .412 average, 14 homeruns, 20 doubles, and 59 RBIs. He played summer ball for Okotoles Dawgs in 2014 and was selected MVP of the team as well as earned All-League first team honors.
