As a junior at Amador Valley high school, Piscotty was 6-1 with an ERA of 2.77 with two saves. He played on the Washington Nationals Area Code team in 2010. As a senior in 2011, Piscotty posted a 1.86 ERA with 78 strikeouts in 60.1 innings. He was drafted in the 32nd round of the MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals. That summer, he went on to pitch for the Danville Hoots and led that team to the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, NM.

As a true freshman at Duke, he had a total of 13 appearances and six starts. He posted an ERA of 8.19 and had 22 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched. In his first collegiate appearance, he earned the save against the University of Texas - retiring the Longhorns in order in the 9th. Had a career high seven strikeouts in a start against Davidson.

Piscotty went on to play for the La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League in the summer of 2012. In the summer of 2014, he saw limited action with the Alameda Merchants, but was shut down because of tightness in his arm.

He is currently playing at Chabot JC under coach Steve Friend. He plans to return to Duke to pursue his Master's degree with college athletic eligibility still under his belt.
