BIOGRAPHY:  Jeremy Scott Owens, age 39, born on December 9th, 1976.  He graduated from Science Hill HS, and attended Middle Tennessee State University.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:  Jeremy was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 8th round of the 1998 draft, and went on to play 17 seasons in the San Diego, Boston, and Tampa Bay organizations.  Jeremy also spent seven seasons in the Atlantic League playing for both the Somerset Patriots in 2005 and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs from 2008-2014...Owens served as the Blue Crabs hitting coach last season and helped Southern Maryland Hitters finish with the third highest batting average (.263), hits (1,233), and doubles (229), while finishing with the most amount of triples (48), and sacrifice flies (47)....On December 15th, 2015, Jeremy was named the fifth field manager in Southern Maryland Blue Crabs franchise history, taking over for Stan Cliburn who led the Crabs to the Atlantic League Championship Series in 2015...
