Charles Vorsheck earned four letters in an-elite level baseball program in high school at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA. Before his senior year of high school he was selected as a California Region All-High School Senior. In his senior year he tossed five complete games in 11 starts and would be named to the all-league team as well as earning a selection in the North-South County All-Star game. As a freshman at Notre Dame, Charles would appear in 3 games in relief, striking out two batters and allowing one run on three hits.
