Van Daalwyk went 3-3 in 2014 for Ripon, owning a 3.71 ERA in eight starts and 10 total appearances. He totaled 60.2 innings in 2014 and struck out 44 batters while walking just 10 and holding opponents to a .261 batting average. He made 12 appearances and 10 starts as a sophomore, going 4-4 with a 3.55 ERA, which was second-best on the team. He also tied for the team-lead in strikeouts (47), complete games (4) and shutouts (1) while recording one save and 47 strikeouts in 66 innings pitched in 2013 as Ripon finished as Midwest Conference champions. As a freshman, Van Daalwyk started five times for the Red Hawks, going 3-3 with a 4.17 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 49.2 innings pitched.
