The graduate of Sandburg H.S. in Orland Park, was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 28th round of the 2008 draft. He rose to AA for the Royals before being moved to the Angels organization.  They released him earlier this season. He put together some fine seasons in organized baseball including his 2009 campaign with Class A Burlington when he went 2-2 with a 1.81 ERA.  He allowed only 40 hits in 54 1/3 innings that summer with 51 strikeouts and only 16 walks.  He pitched for Kane County in 2011 and went 9-5 with a 1.93 ERA and struck out 119 in 135 innings.  Billo spent most of 2013 in Class A Lexington and had an ERA of 1.65, allowing only 37 hits in 49 innings. He struggled in AA this spring with a combined ERA of 9.00 in 22 innings and now joins Joliet.
