Pat is entering his fourth year of professional baseball and first with the Bridgeport Bluefish. His last competitive season was in 2008 with the Altoona Curve (AA, Pirates) of the Eastern League. The righty struck out 40 batters and picked up six saves over 50.1 innings of work. Over the course of three seasons in the minor leagues, the 25-year-old worked his way up from the Williamsport Crosscutters (A, Pirates) to Double-A Altoona. The former Pac-10 pitcher has a minor league ERA of 3.52, with nine wins and 165 strikeouts.  Bresnahan was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fifth round of the 2006 amateur draft.
