The lefty from Jacksonville,FL spent three years in the Angels organization.  He was a 46th  round pick in the 2011 draft out of Hillsborough Community College.  He posted an ERA of 3.21 in Rookie ball before spending the last two seasons in Class A.  Johnson threw 105 2/3 innings for Cedar Rapids of the Midwest League in 2012 and allowed 104 hits while striking out 83.  He was moved to the bullpen last season by Inland Empire and threw just 37 1/3 innings while striking out 35 and walking just 17 with one save.
