Garcia returned from an injury that robbed him of the previous season, becoming an everyday player for the Revs during his first year in York in 2014.  The 11-year-pro made the bulk of the team’s starts at third base, while also making 17 starts at shortstop and four more at first base.  Garcia finished the year with a .256 average, 14 home runs, and 61 RBI in 118 games played.  Regaining his form as a middle-of-the-order producer, Garcia enjoyed a 36-game stretch from June 9 through July 24 during which he batted .405 (53-131) with seven homers and 24 RBI, including a spurt of four homers in six games, June 27-July 2.  Also among his highlights was a late-season RBI surge, tallying 17 runs batted in over an 18-game stretch, August 26-September 14.

With York, Garcia not only returned to the Atlantic League but also reunited with his former Frontier League manager, signing to play for Mason.  The 2007 Frontier League Player of the Year with Chillicothe, Garcia spent four years on that circuit as a young player before being dealt to the Atlantic League with Southern Maryland in 2008.  Garcia became one of the Atlantic League’s most feared sluggers while spending parts of five years in Waldorf, MD, and enters the 2015 season a career .280 hitter with 73 home runs and 290 RBI in 448 Atlantic League games.  Garcia has blasted a total of 155 home runs during the course of his pro career.

The 32-year-old Garcia earned a contract with the Seattle Mariners during the 2009 season, and began his career in the New York Mets organization after being selected in the 21st round of the 2003 draft out of Iona College.
