Brandon is one of three Terrapins on this team, along with Anthony Papio and John Mazza.  A highly decorated high school athlete, Casas now pitches for the University of Maryland.
Casas attended Gilman High School in Maryland where he helped lead his team to the MIAA Championship with a 7-0 record.  As a senior, he was listed as one of ESPN’s Top 10 High School Pitchers to watch.  He was also the MVP of the 2012 Brooks Robinson All Star Game and named a 2011 Perfect Game USA Preseason All-America honorable mention player.  He’s made 13 relief appearances this year, going 0-1 with 12 strikeouts in 17.1 innings.  
As an accomplished athlete and experienced reliever, Casas will be a major part of the SteepleCats bullpen this summer.
