Isom returns for his fifth season with the Slammers.  He spent previous time in Joliet when he managed the JackHammers in the 2004 and 2005 seasons.  The former Purdue University standout and former MLB draft pick spent seven seasons playing professionally and has since coached or managed 16 seasons in the minors.  He most recently managed the Lake Erie Crushers (Frontier League) to a division title and the championship series in 2013.  He managed the Washington Wild Things (Frontier League) for two seasons along with spending five seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
