At URI, Steve Moyers has jumped right into the pitching rotation. His early success has led him to become a promising left-hander in the Atlantic-10.  His demeanor on the mound is such of a seasoned veteran and he is expected to flourish with the Waves.  The past two seasons, he has anchored the Rams staff, and posted very impressive numbers.  Last year, Moyers led the Rams’ staff with a 2.30 ERA.  His success stems from his ability to keep runners off the bases (82.1 IP, 60 Hits, and 19 BB).  At this point in time, he is a legitimate ace.In high school, Moyers was a member of the baseball, golf and soccer teams at East Longmeadow High School.  As a baseball player, he earned All-State honors all four years.  In addition to baseball, Moyers volunteers with the Special Olympics.
