Vladimir Camacho joins the Beach Bums for his first professional season.  Camacho recently graduated from Franklin Pierce University (NCAA Division-II) in 2013.  His senior year for the Ravens, Camacho went 2-2 in 15 appearances with a 3.58 ERA.  The left-handed thrower also struck out 35 batters this past season in in 37.2 innings.  Starting in four games for Franklin Pierce, Camacho’s best outing of the year was on May 18 against Southern New Hampshire where he allowed just one run on five hits through eight innings.

His junior year was his first season with Franklin Pierce and he recorded the third best ERA on the team (3.66).  The Massachusetts native’s 65 strikeouts was good for 14th in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Prior to Franklin Pierce University, Camacho played for Western Oklahoma State.  In 2011 he went 3-1 with a 6.43 ERA for his sophomore season.
