Weitzman joins Lincoln after playing the past two seasons with Fargo-Moorhead of the Northern League, where he was a solid starter.  He began his professional career in 2003 as a part of the New York Mets organization, spending two years with Kingsport of the Appalachian League.  After his time with the Mets, Billy left professional baseball for three seasons, only to resurface in 2008 in independent ball.  He had a stellar ’08 campaign with Fargo, posting an 8-2 record in 12 starts there.
