In 2012, Goldstein was used in a starting role by the end of a spring break tournament in Florida. Six of his seven final appearances were as a starter and he finished the season with a 1-3 record in 12 appearances with 27 strikeouts in 34 IP. His career strikeouts is seven and he did not allow more than four earned runs in any of his outings. The Bucknell Bison were 3-1 in his final four appearances and he posted a 4.50 ERA out of the bullpen (6.62  overall).
