PJ Bevis is a relief pitcher for the Diablos from Queensland, Australia. In 1998 he was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an undrafted free agent. Bevis previously played in El Paso in 2001 and 2002 with the Diamondbacks' Double A affiliate club. In 2001 Bevis appeared in 14 games and recorded 6 saves with a 2.16 ERA over 16.2 IP. In 2002 Bevis appeared in 49 games for the Diablos and finished the season with a 4-5 record, a 2.83 ERA, 11 saves, and 62 strikeouts. Bevis has also pitched in the New York Mets and Colorado Rockies farm systems; reaching AAA in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
