Langerhans returns to Sugar Land after spending half of 2013 with Toronto’s Triple A Buffalo. In 64 total games with the Bisons, he hit .221 (46x208) prior to rejoining the Skeeters last September. Entering 2014, the Texan holds a .269 (1157x4299) career minor league average with 580 RBI.
In 14 professional seasons, Langerhans spent parts of 11 years in the Major Leagues with Atlanta (2002-03, 2005-07), Oakland (2007), Washington (2007-08), Seattle (2009-11), Los Angeles-AL (2012) and Toronto (2013). During that span, the lefty outfielder hit .226 (283x1250) with 33 homers and 125 RBI in 597 big league games.
Drafted by the Braves in the third round of the June 1998 Draft, Langerhans also witnessed postseason play with Atlanta in 2005, hitting .333 (4x12) over four games in the National League Division Series against Houston.
Langerhans was born in San Antonio and attended Round Rock (TX) High School.
