Paul makes his way back to Bridgeport for his third season in the Atlantic League and seventh of professional baseball. Last year, the lefthander recorded a career-high 11 victories with the Bluefish, which ranked third in the Atlantic League. He started 20 games and posted a 4.53 ERA with 102 strikeouts over the course of 113.1 innings pitched.

During his Atlantic League debut in 2010, the California-native was off to a scorching start with the ‘Fish, picking up three victories in six starts while posting a 2.36 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 42 innings of work. His impressive performance led to the Oakland Athletics purchasing his contract in May. Oseguera reported to Single-A Stockton of the California League before he finished the year back in Bridgeport.

The 28-year-old made his professional debut in 2006 with Single-A Salem-Kaizer of the Northwest League. He spent four seasons in the Giants organization, reaching as high as Double-A in 2008 as a member of the Connecticut Defenders. In 123 career minor league appearances (92 starts), Paul owns a 4.03 ERA with a 40-31 record and 541 strikeouts in 596.2 innings pitched.

He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 16th round of the 2006 amateur draft.
