A left-handed pitcher, Ludwig has been an outstanding starting pitcher for Belmont over the last two seasons.  Last season he appeared in 20 games while starting in 14 of them, producing an impressive 11-2 record, finishing off the season with an ERA of 3.83.  After 94.0 innings pitched Ludwig tallied a total of 72 strikeouts. He had an outstanding career at Naperville Central High School, he was tremendous all throughout his high school career compiling an all-time record of 26-3. His accolades are impressive and numerous. He was Athlete of the Year, a member of the Louisville Slugger All-American Team and was named All-State. Ludwig was a three-time All-Conference selection and was named to the All-Area team in 2010-2011. As a senior, he earned second team All-State honors.
