This switch-hitting shortstop was named Defensive Player of the Year at Plant High School as a senior after earning Offensive Player of the Year accolades during his junior campaign. Nick batted .400 with 24 RBI, nine doubles and league-leading 38 hits last year, earning him All-Conference honors. Nick was an All-Bay Area Team member and a Hllsborough County All-Star selection.

A freshman, Nick saw action in 43 games, starting 27 . .  his 21 hits (in 92 at bats) included five doubles and five home runs. He batted in 23 runs, had a .446 slugging percentage and a .265 on-base percentage.
