Ryan Smyth will be entering his second season as assistant coach for the Westerners.

He has attended Boston College his first year of college then transferred to Brookdale Jr.  College. He played two years at Brookdale making the D3 Junior College World Series his first year. Placing 4th that year he was awarded all tournament team for the World Series. In his second year at Brookdale his was awarded First Team All- American and made it to the regional final.

Transferring again to his final destination, Ryan then played for head coach Jamie Shevchik at Keystone College. In his two years at Keystone the Giants won the conference tournament and advanced to the regionals.  After college Ryan had the opportunity to play professional baseball in the Frontier League for the Evansville Otters. He spent one season playing for the Otters then he headed back to Keystone College to start his coaching career.
