Jake Meyer played in two partner leagues in 2024, appearing in one game with Milwaukee in the American Association and 33 games in the Frontier League with Schaumburg, hitting .222 with 11 RBI. In 2023, Meyer played 20 games in the Arizona Complex League with the Colorado Rockies, hitting .227 with one home run and five RBI.

Meyer began his college career at the University of Arizona, redshirting his first season before moving to Central Arizona College and then Washington State University. In his final season at Washington State in 2022, he played 40 games, hitting .227 with three home runs and 15 RBI. He was named to the Pac-12 Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.

In 2021, Meyer was named All-Pac-12 Conference Honorable Mention, hitting .281 with three home runs and 22 RBI. He played 12 games in the shortened 2020 season, hitting .314. In 2019, Meyer played at Central Arizona College, hitting .285 with two home runs and 23 RBI, and was named to the JUCO World Series All-Tournament Team.

Meyer attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was a three-year varsity letter winner. He was born in Newport Beach, California.
