Orfi made an immediate impact as a freshman for Georgia Highlands, appearing in 62 games entering the Chargers’ run into the NJCAA Division 1 College World Series. He began the tournament with a team-leading .432 average on 101 hits, which included 23 doubles, one triple, 13 homers, 56 RBI, 80 runs scored and a program-record 56 stolen bases. Thanks to his efforts, Orfi was named second-team All-Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference and earned GCAC tournament MVP honors with a home run and three RBI in the championship game. 

Prior to getting his collegiate start, Orfi attended East Cobb Baseball Academy in Marietta, Ga. He was a top-500 player and ranked 14th among shortstops in Georgia in the 2023 high school class according to Perfect Game.
