2022: MAAC All-Academic Team…Appeared in 34 games with 32 starts in the outfield…Maintained a six-game hitting streak capped by a career-high tying three hits against Saint Joseph’s (3/6)…Also picked up three base knocks against Dartmouth (3/16) and Rider (4/10)…Drew three walks and scored three runs against Hartford (3/29)…Drove in two runs with a single against UMass (5/3).

2021: Did not appear in a game in his first season with the Stags

BEFORE FAIRFIELD: Berta, a two-way player out of Lakeland High School, joins the Stags after earning 11 victories on the mound in his high school career and maintaining a .355 career average while also patrolling center field. In his final high school season, Berta went a perfect 7-0 on the hill while recording a .455 average and .753 slugging percentage. He helped lead his team to two Class A Championships and become the top-ranked Class A team in New York. He earned two All-League selections and was a finalist for the Westchester/Rockland Player of the Year.
