Saxton has been a staple out of the bullpen since his freshman year at FIU. As a freshman, he pitched in 18 games, allowing eight earned runs and 23 strikeouts. In his sophomore season Saxton took the mound 27 times. He pitched 28 innings allowing nine earned runs with 29 strikeouts. Saxton led all Panthers bullpen arms in appearances last season. Before COVID-19, Saxton moved to the starter’s role. He started four games, pitched 15.1 innings, only allowed two runs, and struck out 13 batters.
