Ayrey has had quite the journey in college. He committed to Northwest Florida College in 2018 but transferred to Pasco Hernando State College for his sophomore season where he hit .308 with 41 RBI’s while averaging one strikeout per inning on the mound. Ayrey joined Bethune-Cookman University this spring and continued to be a two-way player appearing in three contests as a pitcher in which he threw four scoreless innings. At the plate, Ayrey started 14 games for the Wildcats. In his first appearance, he logged four RBI’s against Alabama A&M.
