As a sophomore at division one Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas…Taylor did not appear in any games this season but as a true freshman, Taylor appeared in 15 games, including one start in right field, and batted .286 (6-for-21) with one run and one RBI on the season and was 3-for-5 (.600) in pinch-hit situations for the Aggies…Taylor is from Houston, Texas where he was a three-year letterwinner at Houston Christian High School and earned All-Southwest Preparatory Conference honors as a junior in 2016 and All-South Zone in both his junior and senior seasons…Taylor hit .380 with five HRs as a senior and hit .350 with three HRs as a junior while helping his team advance to the SPC semifinals both seasons…Both of Taylor’s parents went to Texas A&M while Cole’s father, Terry, played baseball for the Aggies from 1987-89 before going on to play minor league baseball for the Angels.
