Though he just completed his sophomore season, Marks brings plenty of experience and leadership qualities to the Gulls.Through his two seasons as a Spartan, he’s had 27 starts and has thrown for 136.2 innings, accumulating 100 strikeouts during this span. Marks’ amateur team, the Great Lakes Canadians, recently honored him with their inaugural Commitment Award for embodying their message—professionalism, leadership, work ethic, and accountability. The GLC Director of Baseball Operations Chris Robinson stated, “Jordan Marks is a guy who does the work when the lights are off; when people aren’t watching.” As a member of the Lima Locos in the Great Lakes Summer League last summer, Marks struck out 34 batters while walking just nine in 31 innings, en route to earning a spot on the All-Star team.
