YAKIMA VALLEY CC: As a SOPHOMORE (2017)...named Second Team All-Eastern region (NWAC)...threw 14 games and started 12...tossed two complete-game shutouts...went 5-2 with a 3.29 ERA...pitched the second-most innings on the team with 79 1/3...threw 77 strikeouts to only 13 walks...a 5.9 strikeout-to-walk ratio...NWAC Player of the Week, for the week of April 17...pitched a 9 inning shutout over Spokane allowing no runs on 5 hits and 8 strikeouts to earn the honor...committed to Concordia (Portland) for his 2018 season...as a FRESHMAN (2016)...selected First Team All-Eastern Region (NWAC)...went 4-5 with a 3.05 ERA...started all 12 games he played...struck out 46 and walked 25 over 67 2/3 innings pitched.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2015 graduate of Moses Lake High School (Chiefs)...earned three varsity letters in baseball as a pitcher for coach Quintz Whitiker...As a SENIOR...selected First Team All-Big 9...as a SOPHOMORE....selected First Team All-Big 9. 

CLUB: Played club baseball with the Columbia Basin River Dogs for coach Randy Boruff...won a 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series with the River Dogs in 2015 at Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls, Ore...home of former WCL club, the Klamath Falls Gems.

PERSONAL: Born Hunter Boyd at Moses Lake, Wash...father LeRoy works with the PUD...mother Danae is the owner of a Burger King...has one older sister...enjoys fishing, quads, and dirt bikes...made Honor Roll throughout high school...won high school’s Most Improved Spanish Speaker award...made Dean’s list in both the fall and winter quarters this year at Yakima Valley CC...3.8 GPA.
