Kevin Lenik is in his second professional season and first with the ThunderBolts in 2017. He signed on April 22, 2017. His professional career began in 2016, when he was signed out of the California Winter League by the Texas Rangers. He spent his rookie year in low A Spokane and pitched in 17 games, striking out 32 batters in 31.1 innings. He closed out his college career with one season at Cal State Dominguez Hills and posted a 0.87 ERA as a senior in 2015. Lenik spent his first three collegiate seasons as an outfielder, two at College of the Canyons and one at Hawai'i Pacific, where he hit .299 with seven home runs. He attended Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California.
