After spending two season at Western Nevada JC, Chase Kaplan continued his college career at the University of Kansas. Kaplan made 13 appearances, with a 4.63 ERA. In 11.2 innings he had four strikeouts for the Jayhawks.
Kaplan returned to the Knights for the second summer in 2016, he had 19 appearances and 10 saves. Striking out 27 batters, in 26 innings, with a record of 2-2.
As sophomore at Western Nevada JC, was 8-4, 4.54 in 17 appearances. He recorded 45 strikeouts and one save in 75.1 innings pitched for the Wildcats.
Kaplan played for the Knights in 2015, he had 10 appearances, with one start, 27 strikeouts and one save. In 23.2 innings pitched he was 1-2, with a 3.80 ERA.
He was 3-4, 4.39 in 13 games as a freshman at Western Nevada JC, with 43 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2014 and played for the North team in the 2014 Oregon All-Star Series.
