The Edinburg Roadrunners (11-9) beat the Abilene Prairie Dogs (7-12) 3-1 in seven innings on Tuesday at Walt Driggers Field behind Derek Perren, who went 1-1.

Ryan Smith brought the heat against the Abilene Prairie Dogs during his outing. The Abilene Prairie Dogs managed just two hits off of Smith, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Woods Fines (0-3) took the loss for the Abilene Prairie Dogs. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
