The San Angelo Colts seize victory thanks to late single, drop the Abilene Prairie Dogs 5-4

After six lead changes in Wednesday's game at Foster Field, the San Angelo Colts (44-41) finally pulled out a 5-4 win over the Abilene Prairie Dogs (32-51).

Cory Patton was solid at the plate for the San Angelo Colts. Patton went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Brian Henschel recorded his fourth win of the year for the San Angelo Colts. He allowed four runs over eight innings. Henschel struck out one, walked three and gave up nine hits.

Scott Vander Weg was charged with his eighth loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
