Yovan Rosa brought home the go-ahead run to give the Normal CornBelters (17-37) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Normal CornBelters hung on to beat the Windy City ThunderBolts (33-21) 3-1 on Monday.
After Pat Trettel doubled, Rosa came to the plate with the score tied at one, and singled, bringing home Trettel.The Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't get anything going so long as Drew Provence was on the hill. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just three hits off of Provence, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Duke Dykeman was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
