The Quebec Capitales come from behind to beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 12-9

A loss looked likely for the Quebec Capitales (38-19) when they trailed by six runs in the fourth inning, but the Quebec Capitales were able to capture the lead back with a an RBI single by Steve Brown in the sixth inning, spurring the Quebec Capitales to a 12-9 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats at Le Stade Municipal on Wednesday.

With the score tied at seven, Brown came to the plate and singled, bringing home Rene Leveret.

Brown had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth innings, and doubled in the seventh inning.

The two teams combined for 21 runs and 25 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with nine pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Guillaume Leduc got the win, running his season record to 2-3. Leduc struck out one, walked three and gave up two hits.

Rony Rodriguez, Brown and Patrick DAoust helped lead the Quebec Capitales. They combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.

Marshall Schuler was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked one and struck out none.
