The Quebec Capitales (37-19) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Gary SouthShore RailCats on Tuesday.

An RBI single by Matt Forgatch gave the Gary SouthShore RailCats the lead in the seventh inning.

The Quebec Capitales' lineup had no answer for Chris Allen. Allen held the Quebec Capitales hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Sebastien Boucher reached base two times in the game for the Quebec Capitales. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Morgan Coombs recorded the win for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He allowed two runs over six innings. Coombs struck out two, walked one and gave up five hits.

Karl Gelinas (6-3) took the loss for the Quebec Capitales. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
