The Rockland Boulders fight back, defeat the Newark Bears, 13-8

The Rockland Boulders (28-27) trailed by three in the eighth, but Chris Valencia was able to capture the lead back with a in the tenth, spurring the Rockland Boulders to a 13-8 win in 10 innings over the Newark Bears (17-39) at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Monday.

With the score tied at eight, was hit by a pitch, bringing home Billy Alvino and Jose Reyes.

Valencia got on base two times in the game for the Rockland Boulders. He singled in the ninth innings.

Qualon Millender put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Rockland Boulders. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings and doubled in the eighth and tenth innings.

Garrett Johnson got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.
