The El Paso Diablos cruise past the Sioux Falls Pheasants, 13-7

The Sioux Falls Pheasants (45-55) didn't put up much of a fight on Sunday, as the El Paso Diablos (47-53) cruised to a blowout 13-7 win at Cohen Stadium.

The El Paso Diablos scored four runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Welington Dotel, a fielder's choice, and a two-run double by Daniel Nelson.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with five lead changes.

Dotel had two extra-base hits for the El Paso Diablos.

Kevin Cooper recorded his first win for the El Paso Diablos even though he allowed five runs over six innings. Cooper struck out six, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Peter Gehle (6-10) took the loss for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.

Dotel, Reid Fronk, Maikol Gonzalez and Jermy Acey helped lead the El Paso Diablos. They combined for 13 hits and six RBIs.
