The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (62-33) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to an 11-1 landslide win over the Laredo Lemurs (51-44) at Newman Outdoor Field.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored five runs in the third on an RBI single by Buddy Sosnoskie, an RBI single by Nic Jackson, an RBI single by Marcos Rodriguez, an RBI single by Ryan Stovall, and a wild pitch.
Stovall reached base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI.
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks relied on Aaron Shafer to eat up innings en route to the win. Shafer allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.
Stephen Douglas had a hot bat for the Laredo Lemurs. Douglas went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Matt Way couldn't get it done on the bump for the Laredo Lemurs, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
