The Sioux Falls Pheasants (39-49) and the Lincoln Saltdogs (36-52) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Sioux Falls Pheasants that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-2 win at Haymarket Park.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants staved off the Lincoln Saltdogs as the Lincoln Saltdogs were unable to match the Sioux Falls Pheasants down the stretch.

The Lincoln Saltdogs scored on a solo home run by Nate Wilder in the fifth inning and an RBI single by Bryan Pounds in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Lincoln Saltdogs weren't able to take the lead back.

Reggie Abercrombie racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He doubled in the first innings and singled in the fifth inning.

Rod Scurry's nine strikeouts helped the Sioux Falls Pheasants to the victory. Scurry allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over seven innings.

Tony Butler (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
