The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks top the Sioux Falls Pheasants in back-and-forth affair, 8-6

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (51-27) outlasted the Sioux Falls Pheasants (34-44) at Sioux Falls Stadium 8-6 on Friday after 10 innings.

With the score tied at six, Eric Campbell came to the plate and homered, bringing home Buddy Sosnoskie.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Campbell racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He doubled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and homered in the tenth inning.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants had no answer for Kevin Fuqua, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Sioux Falls Pheasants managed just one hit off of Fuqua, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Tom Boleska improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He allowed one run over one inning. Boleska struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Kyle Mertins (2-1) took the loss for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
