The Laredo Lemurs survive the Grand Prairie AirHogs 8-6 thanks to Peterson's late-game heroics

Brian Peterson drove in the winning run to give the Laredo Lemurs (37-41) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Laredo Lemurs hung on to beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs (44-35) 8-6 on Friday.

Palmer Karr Jr. was hit by a pitch to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on an RBI single by Uriak Marquez. Finally, Peterson came to the plate with the Laredo Lemurs trailing by one in the seventh inning, and, scoring Karr Jr. and Marquez.

John Allen racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Laredo Lemurs. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Jairo Perez led the Grand Prairie AirHogs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Edwin Walker recorded his third win of the year for the Laredo Lemurs. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Adam Miller (1-2) took the loss for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
