Bryan Frichter was cold coming off the bench, but Frichter warmed up quickly as Frichter stroked a key pinch-hit double in the six to lead the Grand Prairie AirHogs (44-33) to an 8-7 win over the Sioux City Explorers (34-43) on Wednesday at QuikTrip Park.

With the Grand Prairie AirHogs trailing by two in the sixth inning, Frichter came to the plate and doubled.

Frichter racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs were in a difficult situation in the sixth inning before they recovered for the win.

Adam Miller improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. Miller struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Jon Plefka couldn't get it done on the bump for the Sioux City Explorers, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
