Luce's single gives the Amarillo Sox walk-off win over the El Paso Diablos, 4-3

A walk-off single from Jake Luce brought home the winning run for the Amarillo Sox (36-38) in a 4-3 victory over the El Paso Diablos (32-38) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad on Saturday.

Luce did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Amarillo Sox, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth inning.

The Amarillo Sox were led by Garrett Rau's hitting. Rau went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Chuck Lofgren baffled the El Paso Diablos, striking out eight batters. Lofgren allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks over seven innings.

Reyes Dorado was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Amarillo Sox batters and allowing three runs.

Chase Johnson improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Amarillo Sox. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Tim Aldeman couldn't get it done on the hill for the El Paso Diablos, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
