The Sioux Falls Pheasants (32-38) built an early lead against the Quebec Capitales, scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-4 win on Tuesday at Sioux Falls Stadium.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants would not relinquish the lead as the Quebec Capitales were unable to weather a five-run seventh inning deficit.

The Quebec Capitales scored three runs in the ninth on an error and two singles. Still, the Quebec Capitales couldn't draw even.

Cesar Nicolas racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He doubled in the first innings, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Peter Gehle picked up the win for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Gehle pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and four walks while striking out four.

Jeff Duda was charged with the loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
