Extra-inning thriller favors the Laredo Lemurs, 6-1 winners over the Lincoln Saltdogs

It took 10 innings, but the Laredo Lemurs (32-36) managed to put away the Lincoln Saltdogs (27-42) 6-1 on Tuesday at Haymarket Park.

With the score tied at one,, bringing home Kevin Butler and Javier Brito.

Stephen Douglas pushed the Laredo Lemurs ahead, in the tenth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out.

John Allen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Laredo Lemurs. He doubled in the second and tenth innings.

The Lincoln Saltdogs had no answer for Edwin Walker, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Lincoln Saltdogs managed just two hits off of Walker, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

David Quinowski (0-1) took the loss for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
