Things looked bleak for the Gary SouthShore RailCats (22-31) when they trailed by four runs in the seventh inning, but the Gary SouthShore RailCats recovered thanks to a key two-run blast in the eighth inning from Ryan Babineau to pull out a 7-6 win over the Worcester Tornadoes at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

With the Gary SouthShore RailCats trailing by one in the eighth inning, Babineau came to the plate and homered, bringing home Brian Kolb.

Babineau racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. He homered in the eighth inning.

Matt Forgatch hit two home runs for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. Forgatch went 2-5 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Forgatch homered in the first and eighth innings.

Marco Gonzalez got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed three runs over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered five hits.

Nick Serino was charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed one run.
