Extra-inning thriller favors the Kansas City T-Bones, 6-3 winners over the Wichita Wingnuts

The Kansas City T-Bones (28-26) and the Wichita Wingnuts (33-19) passed the lead back and forth five times on Thursday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium, but in the end the Kansas City T-Bones pulled out a 6-3 win in 12 innings over the Wichita Wingnuts.

Brandon Jones put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Kansas City T-Bones. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings and singled in the first and twelfth innings.

Steve Kent pitched lights out for the Kansas City T-Bones. Kent held the Wichita Wingnuts hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Jared Simon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
